MINDFULNESS MEDITATION

Meditation is the practice of focused concentration.

Meditation is, after all, an active form of brain training.

Meditation may lead to volume changes in key areas of the brain.

Mindfulness meditation is a wholly secular practice that emphasizes stress reduction and encourages the cultivation of focus and tranquility. A regular practise will even help us better understand what causes us stress, and what we can do to relieve it.

Especially if you're just getting started, the steady guidance and basic meditation instructions of an experienced teacher can be invaluable.

Information:

Number of students allowed: no maximum number

Length: choose from 45 or 60 mins

Resources needed: yoga mats (or towels if the floor is carpeted). The use of belts (in place of straps) is recommended.  

Space requirements: it depends on the number of people attending, the larger the group the bigger the room
